Rope Rescue Operator Instructor (RROI)

The Rope Rescue Operator Instructor (RROI) course will teach skills to those who operate safely and effectively during rope rescues, as an active part of a rope rescue team, working under the supervision of Rope Rescue Technicians.

Prerequisites

• Current Rope Rescue Operator (RRO)
• Current Rope Rescue Technician (RRT)
• EMT, Wilderness First Responder (WFR), or equivalent workplace emergency medical certification

Instructor training & assessment

• RROI course (24 hours) or,
• Observe, assist & be assessed by Rope Rescue Instructor Trainer (RR-IT) and /or as agreed upon with Rescue 3’s International Office

Qualification valid for

2 years

Able to teach

• Safe Work at Heights (SWAH)
• Co-Worker Rescue at Heights (CWRH)
• Rope Access for Emergency Responders (RAFER)
• Rope Rescue Operator (RRO)
