I have been in the fire service for 16 years and I hold a Fire Officer 1 certification. I took my first rescue class in 2002 and then became an instructor in 2008. I spent 2010 through 2012 traveling around teaching and helping with classes to become an Independent Instructor. I trained under Bill Matney, Dan Wheeley and Mark Clippinger, and have traveled from New York to Alabama instructing technical rope and swiftwater classes. In doing this I was able to teach to a very diverse group of students. I really enjoy teaching and furthering the knowledge of the my students, as well as myself. I look forward to continuing my education in the rescue field and passing it on to my future students.
