About this Training Provider

Jason Jones began rock and ice climbing in Utah during Junior High. He became part of the local fire department a short time later to help perform technical rope rescues in the canyons with his climbing skills. Jason rapidly pursued a firefighting career through medical and mountain rescue courses, and within a short time was working as a full time Firefighter/Paramedic. He became a certified rope and water instructor in 2003 with Rescue 3 International. He currently works for the "Unified Fire Authority" in Salt Lake County, and is a Flight Paramedic for "Life Flight" in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jason has helped form and train rescue teams from various fire departments and search & rescue groups throughout the western United States. He continues to live in the mountains of Alpine, Utah with his family. He remains active in the climbing community, enjoys remote multi-day creek kayaking, and paragliding or speedflying in the bigger mountain ranges.
