Tom is currently a Firefighter/ Paramedic with the Naperville Fire Department in Illinois and a Flight Paramedic with Flight For Life in WI/ IL. He currently has 25 years of experience in the fire service and is a member of the Technical Rescue and Water Response Teams. Tom has been involved in swiftwater rescue after first meeting up with, learning from, and working alongside Tim Rogers in 2000 (Tim is currently on the Charlotte FD and an Instructor Trainer for Rescue 3 International). Tom has worked with students at the Nantahala Outdoor Center in NC as well as throughout the Midwest.
Tom is also one of the three founding members of the North Central Water Rescue instructor’s cadre’ based in Northern Illinois. Their approach and philosophy to training is to make sure it is not only educational but fun. Many of their students have commented on how their water rescue classes are the “best and most entertaining classes they have ever taken in the fire service”.
While the majority of the training conducted is based in Northern IL, he and his team of instructors are more than willing to bring the classes to you.
