Instructor: Rope (InsR)

The Instructor: Rope pathway is designed for those wishing to teach Rescue 3’s Technical Rope Rescue program. This program is in the phase out process, so new instructors should discuss with their Regional Director if it is more appropriate for them to take this path or the Rope Rescue Technician track.

Prerequisites

• Technical Rope Rescue Operations Level (TRRTL) at least twice
• Professional Qualification Assessment Rope (PQR)
• EMT or Wilderness First Responder (WFR)

Instructor training & assessment

Instructor: Rope (InsR) course (24 hours)

Qualification valid for

2 years

Able to teach

First Due Low Angle (FDLA)
Professional Qualification Assessment: Rope (PQR)
Recreational Rappel Operator (RECRO)
