In these difficult times, and in light of increasing infection rates, affecting the ability to undertake training, Rescue 3 has reviewed its COVID-19 extension policy. This replaces its previous COVID-19 extension policies.
All students whose Rescue 3 qualifications were due to expire from 1 March 2020 onwards, have had their qualifications extended until 31 January 2021, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
All active instructors whose Rescue 3 qualifications were due to expire from 1 March 2020 onwards, have had their qualifications extended until 1 May 2021 (the launch date for the Rescue 3 online conference/instructor update portal).
All database records and ID cards have been updated to show these dates.
In early January 2021, Rescue 3 will review the situation, to ensure that people don’t fall out of ticket if they haven’t been able to undertake training.
We recognize that different countries and regions have different levels of restriction, based on local infection rates. It may still be possible for training providers to still undertake training courses in some areas, with an appropriate COVID-19 risk assessment and associated control measures.
To ensure competence we recommend that all qualification holders undertake whatever skills sustainability training is possible to ensure they can offer a safe emergency response.
