Whitewater Rescue Technician Instructor (WRTI)
The Whitewater Rescue Technician Instructor (WRTI) pathway is designed for river professionals and outdoor instructors. It is designed for teaching whitewater rescue techniques.
Those needing to teach a flood rescue capability should take the Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor course.
Prerequisites
- Whitewater Rescue Technician Professional (WRTP)
- Documented experience working in a Class III or above river environment.
- EMT, Wilderness First Responder (WFR), or equivalent medical certification appropriate for the environment in which they will be working
