The Whitewater Rescue Technician Advanced Instructor (WRTAI) pathway is designed for river professionals and outdoor instructors. It is designed for teaching whitewater rescue techniques. Those needing to teach a flood rescue capability should take the Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor course.
Prerequisites
- Whitewater Rescue Technician Instructor (WRTI)
- Whitewater Rescue Technician Advanced (WRTA)
- Documented experience working in a Class III or above river environment
- EMT or Wilderness First Responder (WFR)

2 years
