Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Advanced Water and Rope Instructor (SRTAI)
The Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced (Water and Rope) Instructor (SRTAI) pathway is designed for emergency services personnel or rescue training professionals who will be teaching clients who need a swiftwater and flood response along with a poor visibility and high angle rope rescue capability in a river or flood environment.
Prerequisites
- Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician (SRT)
- Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced Water and Rope (SRTAWR)
- EMT, Wilderness First Responder (WFR), or equivalent medical certification appropriate for the environment in which they will be working
One of the following:
- Current RROI
- Current RRTI
- Advanced rope capability adequate to teach rope components of this course as assessed by the IT

- Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Advanced Instructor Assessment

- Safe Work Near Water (SWNW)
- Safe Work In Water (SWIW)
- Rescues from Vehicles in Water (RVW) after attending a Rescue from Vehicles in Water Course or Workshop
- Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced – Water& Rope
- Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Advanced – Water
