Rope Rescue Technician Instructor (RRTI)
The Rope Rescue Technician Instructor (RRTI) course covers the teaching of concepts and techniques to enable small teams to undertake technical rope rescues. A building block approach is used throughout the course so that candidates can progress from key concepts through to the rigging and operation of full systems for raising, lowering and highline rescues.
Prerequisites:
- Rope Rescue Operator (RRO) (5 days)
- Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) (5 days)
- Rope Rescue Specialist (RRS) (5 days)
- Rope Rescue Operator Instructor (RROI) (5 days training, 3 days assessment)
- First aid qualification, appropriate for the environment in which they will be working.
Instructor workshop and assessment:
- Rope Rescue Technician Instructor workshop and assessment (4 days)
Qualification valid for:
2 years
Able to teach:
- Safe Working at Height (SWAH)
- Co-Worker Rescue at Height (CWRH)
- Rope Rescue Operator (RRO)
- Rope Rescue Technician (RRT)
